The Recruiter plays a key role in supporting the company’s field and transportation operations by identifying, attracting, and onboarding qualified candidates for roles such as truck drivers, field technicians, equipment operators, and dispatch personnel. This position focuses on high-volume recruiting in a fast-paced, blue-collar environment and works closely with hiring managers to ensure workforce needs are met efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

 

Recruiting & Sourcing:

  • Develop and execute recruiting strategies to fill high-volume roles in oilfield services, trucking, and field operations.
  • Use creative sourcing methods including job boards, driver networks, trade schools, social media, and referrals.
  • Maintain a strong pipeline of qualified candidates to meet ongoing operational staffing needs.

Resume Review and Screening:

  • Review applications and screen candidates for required qualifications, certifications (e.g., CDL, H2S, TWIC), and relevant experience.
  • Conduct phone and in-person interviews to assess candidate skills, safety mindset, and cultural fit.
  • Coordinate interviews with hiring managers and provide timely feedback to ensure an efficient process.

Hiring Manager Support

  • Partner with operations and fleet managers to understand workforce requirements and role-specific challenges.
  • Provide guidance on competitive pay, market trends, and best practices for attracting top talent in the oilfield and trucking sectors.

Candidate & Onboarding Experience

  • Manage candidate relationships throughout the recruiting process, ensuring a positive and professional experience.
  • Collaborate with HR and operations teams to support the onboarding process, including pre-employment paperwork, compliance checks, and first-day readiness.
  • Track and report onboarding completion metrics to ensure smooth transitions into the field.

Compliance & Reporting

  • Ensure recruitment practices comply with all DOT, FMCSA, and employment regulations.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate records in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  • Generate recruitment reports and metrics to evaluate sourcing effectiveness and hiring timelines.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • 1+ years of recruiting experience, preferably in oilfield, trucking, logistics, or industrial operations.
  • Proven success in high-volume, fast-paced recruiting environments.
  • Experience supporting or managing onboarding processes is strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and employment law compliance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with candidates from diverse backgrounds.
  • Proficiency with ATS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple open requisitions and shifting priorities.
  • Problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
