As a Service Writer, you will be the liaison between our shop personnel and the Fleet Supervisor, ensuring a seamless and positive experience for all. The ideal candidate should have strong communication skills, a solid understanding of maintenance procedures, and the ability to ensure timely and efficient servicing of vehicles or equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Creates, distributes, and updates work orders. Verify for accuracy, verbal/documented communication to comply with internal process.

· Periodic verbal and documented communication with customers.

· Works closely with shop floor production to meet customer expectations through constant checking on repair statuses.

· Distributes parts to mechanics during night shift rotation, assigns parts to work orders.

· Performs equipment swaps in conjunction with dispatch based on assignment process.

Qualifications:

· High school diploma or equivalent.

· Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools.

· Superior customer service, teamwork, and verbal/written communication skills

· Knowledge of Fleetio, Samsara, and Excel preferred, but not required.

· Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

· Ability to follow all attendance and punctuality standards with adherence to timekeeping standards.

· Ability to understand and follow all work rules and follow directions from leadership.

· Ability to maintain a professional appearance in accordance with company policy.

· Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
